What makes a Reel different?

A Reel is Instagram’s short-form video format and has a direct Reel URL. SSGram recognizes Reel link paths and asks the extractor for accessible video files. The backend does not require a particular aspect ratio, create a Reel, or retrieve an entire creator profile.
- Only video files returned by the source are listed here.
- Portrait dimensions may be present, but SSGram does not force a vertical crop.
- Private, login-restricted or unavailable Reels cannot be retrieved.

How Reel audio is handled
If the source returns a video file that contains sound, the downloaded video may include that sound. This page does not split a soundtrack out of a combined video or promise a separate music file.

Why a Reel URL may not work
- Instagram says the link is invalid
- Use the full HTTPS link copied from the Reel itself. Remove spaces or punctuation copied with the URL.
- You pasted a profile or feed-post link
- A profile address does not identify a Reel. Copy the Reel’s own link, or use the Video Downloader for a regular video post.
- The Reel is private or asks for sign-in
- SSGram does not log into Instagram or bypass account restrictions. Only media accessible through the submitted link can be checked.
- The Reel is unavailable or no file appears
- The post may have been removed, expired or temporarily inaccessible, or the source may not return a supported video file.
